atsuko, is Japanese, and she writes lyrics for singers. She grew up in Yamanashi, which is near Mt.Fuji. And it was her dream to be a singer from childhood.
At 22, she moved to Tokyo and joined a band as a vocalist.
2 years later, she met a producer who worked at a record company and her talent was discovered by him as a lyricist.
Feb.1998, atsuko wrote the lyrics for the cd single “KISEI ~Never forget~”
for AKINA NAKAMORI, a famous idol in 80’s, and this single was an opening
song for the Yomiuri TV show “TSUMETAI TSUKI”. Ever since, atsuko has
written various lyrics for pops, rock, R&B and animation. atsuko’s
lyrics are catchy and strong.
As well as this, atsuko has also written movie reviews and columns on her website discussing general life, love and sex… for women, including her own experiences.
Dec.2001, atsuko moved to New York City to study English. She lived there for 1 year and 2 months and during that time wrote some lyrics in English. The city and people of New York inspired her. atsuko returned to Tokyo in 2003.
atsuko’s face doesn’t appear in the public, she’s only alive in her lyrics, always…
